A loader performs excavating, loading, and unloading operations through the movement of its working equipment. This equipment consists of components such as the bucket, lift arm, linkage, rocker arm, bucket cylinder, and lift cylinder; the entire assembly is pivotally mounted to the chassis.
Loaders are primarily used to excavate, load, unload, and transport bulk materials like soil and stone, and they can also perform light excavation work on rock and hard soil. By switching to different attachments, they can also handle tasks such as bulldozing, lifting, and the loading or unloading of other materials. In highway construction, they are mainly used for subgrade cut-and-fill operations, as well as for handling and loading aggregates at asphalt and cement concrete plants. Thanks to advantages such as high operating speed, excellent maneuverability, and ease of operation, loaders have developed rapidly and become key pieces of machinery in earthwork and rock excavation projects.
